Devon holiday parks | Types of accommodation

Devon is home to a vast array of holiday parks, ideal for couples, families and big groups alike. Many holiday parks in Devon have lots of onsite facilities so you don’t even need to venture out of the resort if you don’t want to.

Many of Devon’s holiday parks have a wide variety of accommodation options available ready to suit every style and budget. So what are the most common choices that you will have?

Caravans

A family favourite, static caravans are a staple accommodation at holiday parks in Devon, many sites will have a range of caravans with different requirements and facilities depending on your budget and requirements. Although usually the smallest and cheapest options of accommodation, they still usually come with basic home comforts like fully furnished kitchens, hot showers and flat screen televisions. If you fancy adding a little bit of luxury there are normally upgraded caravans that can have the option of deckings and even private hot tubs.

Lodges

If you want a bit of a change from a caravan holiday and would prefer more space, lodges are perfect.  Lodges are a great option for couples or families who want some extra home comforts and more modern facilities. Lodges can vary from wood style to cottage style but they are really great at giving a home from home experience. Apart from the basic comforts of caravans, lodges usually have extras including multiple tvs, dishwashers and outdoor spaces as well as much larger separate rooms. Lodges can also usually come with added extras in Devon holiday parks, such as extra space and hot tubs.

Apartments/Villas

If you are looking for something with a super homely feel then holiday parks in Devon with the option of apartments or villas might be the best option for you! Apartments and villas tend to be a higher priced accommodation at most holiday parks so they can sometimes come with the added perk of a beautiful view if you are lucky! Aside from this, they really can feel like your own home and some can even be stretched across two floors. Similar to caravans, villas and apartments usually have standard and then more premium options so you can choose one to suit your needs and budget.

Glamping

A more unique type of accommodation available at some holiday parks in Devon include glamping pods. These are for people who like to be close to the outdoors but prefer being surrounded by their usual comforts rather than a tent. Glamping pods are usually very modern and some can even come with quirky features such as inbuilt speakers and mood lighting depending on your taste. Aside from this they come with fully functioning kitchens and some pods can even fit groups of up to 4 with pull out beds and multifunctional spaces.

As discussed there are lots of different types of accommodation available at holiday parks in Devon, those that are suitable for all sizes of groups, budgets and taste. You will need to check with individual holiday parks as some types of accommodation may not be available.
